Scholarships

In 2007 we began a program to provide scholarships for children in the schools operated by the Episcopal Parish of St. Simeon, just on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince. While there has always been a need for scholarship assistance for most children to attend school in Haiti, since the earthquake in January, 2010, the need has been greater than ever. You may not ever be able to go on a mission trip to Haiti, but you can join our mission team by sponsoring a child.

For a $120 contribution, you can sponsor a child at one of four schools, and help insure they get a chance at a brighter future. In return , during the school year you will get two letters from your child. We cannot promise more than this, due to the fact that we run this program on volunteer staff. Unlike many other programs that offer you an opportunity to sponsor a child, we do not have paid staff who do the work of gathering the letters, translating them, and getting them to sponsors.
